Shouting with JOY!!!!!

Many years ago, when my father in the ministry, Bishop Isaac Jenkins

still walked with men, he talked about his great joy in someday meeting

Christ. He even spoke of his wife, Mrs. Jenkins, and most of his family

that have already gone to live with the Lord. Then, suddenly, out of

nowhere, he let out a WHOA! – a shout of joy – believing that his days

on earth were rapidly ending. As I listened to the message, the joy of

God poured into my Spirit. Why? … because at that moment, I was

reminded of what Luke the doctor said in the passage found in Luke

8:13. Jesus said,” When the Word of God is in our hearts, we receive it

with joy”. At the feast of Passover, Jesus told His disciples, “These

things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that

our joy may be full. Please know that when we shout in church – when

we are overjoyed with love for Christ and His word, the bishop and all

of us that are so inclined are so overcome with joy that we can’t help

but loudly and joyously expressing ourselves. So, my sisters and

brothers, since Joy is found in Christ’s presence, during this Christmas

season, please be reminded to laugh, to fill your heart with gladness,

rejoice in the Lord and Shout with Joy!!!!
