The Honorable Todd J. Nock, a native of Pocomoke City, Maryland, was born on August 7, 1990, to proud parents Craig and the late Sandra Jones Nock. Deeply rooted in his hometown, Nock’s upbringing in Pocomoke City has profoundly shaped his journey and unwavering commitment to service. A proud product of Worcester County’s public schools, he graduated from Pocomoke High School in 2008 and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
Nock began his political career when he was elected to the 4th District Council seat on April 3, 2018. Demonstrating exceptional leadership and dedication to his community, he assumed the role of First Vice President of Pocomoke’s City Council in 2019 and was reelected for a second term in 2021. His historic career reached new heights on April 11, 2023, when he was sworn in as Mayor of Pocomoke City, becoming the youngest and first Black American to hold this prestigious position in the city’s history. Nock is now the 82nd and youngest President of the Maryland Municipal League.
His service extends beyond local governance. Nock has held key roles on the Worcester County Democratic Central Committee, the Eastern Shore Municipal Association Board of Directors, the Maryland Municipal League Board of Directors, and the Maryland Municipal League Executive Committee. He was also appointed by Governor Wes Moore to the Maryland Transportation Commission and the Maryland State Roads Commission. A proud brother of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Nock earned his Master of Divinity degree from The Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University in Richmond, Virginia.
Beyond his political achievements, Nock is also a devoted servant in ministry. He serves as the Minister of Music at the Greater New Macedonia Baptist Church in Pocomoke City, Maryland, where he leads worship and fosters spiritual growth through music. Additionally, Nock is a licensed minister, further demonstrating his commitment to serving both God and his community.

In addition to his public service and ministry, Nock is a proud dog dad to Tiago Kinckle, affectionately known as TK, his loyal and loving Golden Doodle
