Rev. Arlene Jones-Ginn

Ordained Minister, Preacher, Teacher, Bible Scholar
I bring you greetings from the Name that is above every other name – that is Jesus the Christ. I realize that in times like these, there seems to be little to hold on to – little to hang on to and even less to believe in. I know – because I have been where you might be. Therefore, I bring you this webpage to comfort, counsel, teach and share in the goodness of Jesus the Christ. Regardless of what you are going through – whether
you are an avid believer or not, there is hope in Christ. My friends, here’s my story –perhaps it is like yours.
When I was an elementary-aged child, I grew up in Pocomoke City, Md. I used to lay under the apple tree in our backyard and, for hours, gaze at the clouds. Mother and sometimes Daddy would come out and force me to get up off the ground. As I constantly went back to the same place, one of them finally asked me, “Arlene, why are you sitting here looking up in the sky? What’s wrong?” What are you looking for?
My answer was, “Mother, where did I come from? Did I come from up there – and why are the clouds moving? Who made the clouds?” Who made me?” Mother, in perhaps her inability to fully answer merely said, “You came from God – and God made you”. Searching, seeking and understanding, "Where I really DID come from”. Though my initial answers came from Sunday School and my father in the ministry, “Bishop Isaac Jenkins”, the events above led me to an
incredible faith journey.
After my husband and I moved to Florida, the unquenchable thirst to more deeply know this God, led me to (but did not graduate) the Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS), in Altamonte Springs, Florida; and later, after moving back home to Maryland, St. Mary’s Ecumenical Institute in Baltimore, Md. Those their teachings were invaluable, I finally matriculated to the Samuel Proctor School of Theology, where I earned a master’s degree (4.3 grade point average) in 2025. I have been
blessed to learn at the feet of some of the most knowledgeable and Spirit-led professors and pastors in theological education. God has been extraordinarily good to me and my husband. Through Christ, we have found many successes and life-long victories – even in our struggles. I can steadfastly tell you that He can and will do the same for you.
That’s why my favorite scripture (ESV), comes from Philippians 3:8-9, which states, "Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For His sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith".
Though our lives are far from perfect, I can tell you one thing that I now know and have now learned – that is, that as we travel this dusty road called LIFE, there IS a God whose love transcends every crisis and situation. I now know that His grace and redemptive work in me mask all my human imperfections! AND it is done through His love, comfort and His unbelievable mercy. “What’s beyond the clouds, Mother?” I can now answer that question on my own. Beyond the clouds is the third heaven, where our Jesus and Lord lives and He will someday break the clouds and return for us. Because my steps are now ordered by God!!!!, I enjoy the comfort and reassurance that only comes from knowing Him. GLORY!!!!! You can too – just let Him in and He will do the rest!
